About
Dronfield Sports Centre is located in the heart of Dronfield, close to the Sheffield border.
It was refurbished in 2016 and offers the following:
• Two swimming pools (one large, one small).
• Swimming, gymnastics, Tiny Tumblers and trampoline lessons.
• Extended fitness suite with 75+ stations.
• Studio/multi-use space for health and fitness classes.
• Virtual Instructor classes.
• Over 60 wet and dry fitness sessions/activities.
• A six court sports hall for badminton, bowls, football, basketball and netball.
• Lesser sports hall, with climbing wall. Also used for table tennis, gymnastics classes, martial arts groups, fencing, weight management meetings, fitness classes, kids’ parties and netball fitness training.
• Two squash courts.
• Relaxing refreshment area.
• Meeting room and halls available to hire.
• Kids’ holiday activities and parties.
• RLSS Approved Training Centre delivering National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
• Baby friendly accredited swimming pools.

Road Directions
From North/South Leave M1 motorway at junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At roundabout select right lane and take 4th exit (A61). At next roundabout (Tesco) take 2nd exit (A61). At next roundabout (Little Chef) select middle lane and take 3rd exit (A61). Leave A61 by 1st exit and at end of slip road turn right (B6057). Follow road into Dronfield (approx 3 miles). Take 1st left after railway station (Lea Road and turn right after The Forge shopping centre (Church Street). Follow road past Manor House Hotel to Peel Monument and turn left into Civic Centre car park. Sports Centre on right.
From East Follow A617 to junction with M1 motorway and take 3rd exit (A617), then follow route from North/South.
From West Follow A619 into Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select middle lane and take 3rd exit. Keep in left lane and, at traffic lights go straight on. At roundabout select middle lane and take 2nd exit (A632). Turn immediately left into slip road to A61. At next roundabout (Tesco) take 2nd exit (A61), then follow route from North/South.
