Getting around
You’ve made your way here, you know about all the great places you can visit and the things you can do, and now you need to know how you get there.
We’ve included postcodes wherever we can so that you can use satnav if you have one. There are also maps on each record showing you exactly where it is, and detailed directions from all points of the compass to help you.
But you don’t need to have a car to explore Chesterfield Area. Many of our attractions can be reached by public transport. Plan your bus or train journey using the Traveline or National Rail websites.
If you’re making several journeys in a day, ask about the Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket, which might save you some money on the bus charges and might offer you a discount at the attractions you’re visiting.
If you want some ideas for travelling around on the bus, check out our Days Out by Bus page.
If you want to explore Chesterfield town centre, download a town centre map.
