About
If famous sties are what you're looking for, look no further than Chatsworth.
Everything here is on the grand scales - the house beside the River Derwent, the gardens with the Emperor Fountain, the park with its Hunting Tower, lakes and network of trails. And don't forget the Farmyard and Adventure Playground, Garden Centre and Farm Shop. Take a whole day and you still won't have seen it all!
The 170 bus service runs from Chesterfield, download a copy of the timetable here. The bus runs hourly and stops in Baslow Nether End where you can walk for 1¼ miles across the Estate to the House. When you step off the bus, turn left and cross the bridge, then turn right in front of a row of cottages. At the end of the road you will find a kissing gate onto the Estate, then follow the roads to the House.
Visit in May for the International Horse Trials, June for the RHS Flower Show or August / September for the popular Country Fair.
