About

This beautiful holiday accommodation comprises of a detached barn conversion/cottage has been charmingly renovated, retaining and working with many original features where possible. Tastefully furnished to a very good standard throughout, the open-plan living and kitchen area with its stunning beamed vaulted ceiling creates a warm and cosy social environment for that special self catering experience. Located on the owners grounds, thoughtful additional extras can be provided at the owners discretion where possible making the full stay an extra special experience. The immaculately maintained gardens as shown to the public as part of Barlow Open Gardens can be dressed and lit at no extra cost.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with beams and vaulted ceiling. 2 double bedrooms, one (accessed via 4 steps) with additional single (for alternative sleeping) Shower room with toilet.Gas woodburner in living room. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. DVD. Sound system with surround sound. Induction hob. Combi microwave/oven/grill. Wi-fi. Enclosed courtyard with sitting-out area and furniture. Barbecue. Use of shared landscaped garden by arrangement with owner. Parking (1 car). No smoking. NB: 3 steps and pond in shared grounds.

      Road Directions

      From North/South Leave M1 at junction 29 and take A617 to Chesterfield (approx 4 miles). At traffic light controlled roundabout select middle lane and take 3rd exit. At next roundabout select right lane and take 2nd exit. Keep in right hand lane and go straight on through traffic lights and round Crooked Spire Church. Select right hand lane. At traffic lights go straight on. Keep to right hand lane as approach large roundabout with car park in middle. Follow signs to Sheffield round the roundabout. At mini roundabout take 1st exit (B6051, Newbold Road). Follow road (going straight on at all mini roundabouts) to traffic lights. Select right lane and go straight on. Follow road for approx 2½ miles to Barlow, Hackney House is on the left when entering the village just past The Peacock pub.

      From East Take A617 to Chesterfield then follow route from North/South.

      From West Follow A619 to Chesterfield. At traffic light controlled roundabout (Matalan) select middle lane and take 2nd exit, turning left onto Rutland Road. Select right hand lane and turn right at traffic lights. Follow road straight on through traffic lights. At roundabout select left lane and take 2nd exit passing multi-storey car park. At mini roundabout take 1st exit (B6051, Newbold Road), then follow route from North/South.
