About
We offer farmyard fun for all ages, all year round, in the fresh air and tranquillity of the countryside!
We have a plethora of lovely animals to meet, feed and cuddle, an indoor play barn to have fun in, outdoor play areas including the UK's largest Jumping Pillow (in dry weather only), go-karts to ride around on, a shop to browse and our cosy cafe to visit.
Some of our animals are real characters, but all of them – from sheep, goats, pigs and donkeys to the more exotic wallabies, rhea birds, emus and meerkats – are happy to make friends and will welcome you back time after time.
Pick up a bag of animal feed on entry to enjoy hand feeding our animals as you wander the farm park. When you are feeding our four-legged, grass-eating animals please remember to keep your hand nice and flat.
We strongly advise that when you are feeding pigs or donkeys, you throw the feed on the ground and do not put your hands in, as pigs and donkeys have terrible table manners and aren’t very good at sharing.
Our Riding School is open all year round and offers lessons for all abilities and hacks for more experienced riders. At weekends and school holidays we offer short pony rides for the little ones too!

Please note, due to the close contact with our animals, we cannot allow dogs into the farm park. We can permit guide dogs, however.
Accessibility – Matlock Farm Park aims to make their site accessible for all. Staff are always happy to assist to give as inclusive an experience as possible. All pathways are fully tarmacked for smooth access and there is a Changing Places toilet and changing facility.
