About
The Walton and West Green Walk visits the parks and green spaces in the Walton and Brampton area of Chesterfield on a 4 mile leisurely route.
We start on Chatsworth Road near Heaton Street, close to KOO restaurant and coffee shop, and the St Thomas Church Centre coffee bar.
The walk visits the Inkerman park, once a Victorian industrial site used by Ashgate Pottery and the Wasp Nest Brick Works. Because of this, the park is often referred to as the Wasp Nest.
Next on the route is Manor Fields followed by a walk through Brookside and on to Somersall Park. You then follow the Hipper Way (part of the Chesterfield Greenways) along a woodland path to Walton Dam.
Scroll down the page for a leaflet about the walk.
