About
Built as a cinema in 1923, the Grade II listed venue we now know as the Winding Wheel Theatre has presented 100 years of entertainment within its half-timbered mock Tudor wall.
We invite you to celebrate the centenary and learn more about the building’s history through our special programme of events including films, a gala concert, building tours and an exhibition all taking place at the Winding Wheel Theatre.
We will be screening a film from each of the last ten decades as chosen by our audiences and you can see all 10 films for £20 when booking our film package.
When coming to see one of our special films, why not come a little earlier and visit our exhibition about the building or go on a tour of the building. Tours are at 12 noon for a 2pm film or 5pm for a 7pm film. The exhbition is free and you can just turn up, the pre-film building tours are also free, but must be booked when checking out.
