About
A circular walk using a mixture of footpaths, tracks and short sections of road. With lovely views over the surrounding countryside this walk passes picturesque local villages and landmarks.
Commencing at Eddelstow lot car park we walk down footpaths to Kelstedge then cross the main road to proceed via tracks/footpaths to the picturesque village of Ashover. There is opportunity here to pause for a drink and to access the toilet. We then make our way across field paths to Fallgate.
Here we start a long steady climb uphill during which we pass by Overton Hall. This takes the walk up and over to Tansley Knoll where lunch will be taken.
After lunch it is another uphill climb to Lumsdale Quarries then back towards our starting point at Eddlestow Lot via Packhorse Farm and the woodland paths of Bottom Moor.
